LS6: Building Effective Teams

Teams are groups of people who are thinking and acting together for a specific purpose with common intentions, goals and methodologies. Teams may be long-term as in various kinds of work teams, or short-term and activity specific as in task forces and committees. Teams are often evolving elements of complex systems. Bonding and confidence building among team members, developing their intuitive knowledge of each other and identifying and clarifying the team's tasks and purposes are important early activities. On an ongoing basis enhancing the effective, efficient and productive operation of the team is valuable and essential to its work.
