LS8: Win / Win Negotiation
Leadership implies moving towards something in the future
- having a sense of direction. Whenever there is more than
one person involved in defining that "something," there
is a competition for setting the parameters of what that
something is going to be. Win / win negotiation is the skill
that leads participants through that competitive process
into a co-operative process without losing any of their diversity
so that they are all fully engaged as winners in the outcome.
It is a coalition of collective power, rather than the triumph
by default or by force of some over the others.
